Ninety days did not buy my silence
Two worlds that almost never overlap, one federal record I am not going to hide from you, and a rule about foreign money that I will not move off. You should get all of it from me rather than from somebody else.
I am going to give you the whole thing, because you will find it anyway, and I would rather you got it straight.
Five years in the U.S. Army as a 19D Cavalry Scout. Sergeant. Iraq. A Combat Action Badge, and between twenty‑five and thirty‑five soldiers who were my responsibility. Then twenty years in the trades, a Master Plumber’s license, a general contractor’s license, and better than 17,500 documented hours with my name on the work.
I also spent ninety days in federal prison.
I was a Trump supporter. Not a lukewarm one — all in. I believed the man meant it about putting this country first, and I acted like somebody who believed it. Then I sat in a federal cell for ninety days under the administration that came next, and the man I had gone all in for said very little while we rotted there.
Understand what the charge actually rested on. The statute I was prosecuted under only applies because a Secret Service protectee was inside the building. That protectee was Mike Pence. His location is the legal reason I carry a federal record — not what I built, not what I took, not who I hurt. Where he was standing.
The pardon came through, and I will say plainly that I am glad it did. But a pardon gives you your rights back. It does not give you back ninety days, and it does not buy my agreement for the rest of my life.
What ended it for me was watching that same man turn around and put another country ahead of this one. I did not serve five years in a scout platoon and ninety days in a federal cell to watch American policy get written for somebody else’s benefit.
And here is the part that ought to make you angrier than any conspiracy theory would: none of it is hidden. Foreign lobbying in this country is legal, registered and filed in public. The money is disclosed. The meetings are on the calendar. Anyone can pull the reports in about ten minutes. Our politicians are not being fooled by a hidden hand — they are being paid by an open one, in daylight, and they keep voting like men who have been paid. That is worse. A secret can be exposed. This has already been exposed, and nothing happened.
So I do not hand it off to somebody else to fix. I run it through the one thing I actually control, which is who I am willing to put in front of you.
That is where the rule on this site comes from. If a company’s ownership, its financing, or its production runs through a foreign government, it does not go on your list. I do not care what the price is. Money buys advertising space here. It has never bought a place on a short list, and it is not going to.
You do not have to agree with a word of it. You can think I am wrong about the President, wrong about the lobbying, wrong about all of it, and still hire us to find you an American supplier who answers the phone and ships on time. But you are going to know where I stand before you send the email, not after.

Two worlds that almost never overlap
We have spent a working life in both of them, and the combination is the whole point.
The field
We hold a Colorado Master Plumber's license and a General Contractor's license, behind more than 17,500 documented field hours across commercial, residential, multifamily and service work. We have run as many as twelve crews at once and carried quality control across all of them. As a plumbing sales technician our founder ranked first company-wide, selling over $1.8 million in a single year — diagnosing on site, scoping and pricing the options, and closing at the homeowner's kitchen table.
We also buy and rebuild property. We took a distressed single-family home at $275,000 and self-performed a six-month renovation — added a bathroom, gutted and rebuilt the kitchen, every trade done in house — then refinanced it at a $500,000 valuation. It runs as a short-term rental today.
The systems
We run a two-node Linux environment ourselves: a containerized stack with a vector database, self-hosted search, push alerting, and local model inference on CPU-only hardware, so bulk work costs nothing per token. We write the Python. We have built agent orchestration on Model Context Protocol servers and a cross-machine command relay for distributed jobs.
The one we are proudest of is a document-intelligence pipeline that ingests unstructured public-domain source material, structures and adjudicates it with language models, and outputs print-ready books — fonts embedded, figures placed, trim geometry and spine math computed from the page count. It runs end to end. It produced every EATADIK title on this site.
Before any of it
Our founder, Jeffery A. Smith, served five years in the U.S. Army as a 19D Cavalry Scout and a qualified sniper. Sergeant. Iraq. Combat Action Badge. He led between twenty-five and thirty-five soldiers, and he stood the same promotion boards the EATADIK booklets are written for.
Nothing is confirmed until it has been tested and the output has been shown. That is the discipline the Army taught him, and it is still how we build.

Patriot Consulting
Connecting American businesses with American suppliers and manufacturers. Most owners would rather buy domestic and cannot find a supplier who answers the phone, quotes a real price and hits the date. We find them, check them, and make the introduction — starting in construction, trades and building products, where we have actually paid the invoice.
It runs on one rule: American production, or nothing.
EATADIK — study booklets
Board-prep and exam study booklets cited to official doctrine, written by someone who stood the boards. The complete Army edition is built: 31 titles, 26,163 board-prep questions, 92 print editions. Produced end to end by the publishing pipeline described above.
Real estate
Buy, rebuild, hold. Renovations self-performed across every trade, then operated as short-term rentals. One asset taken from a $275,000 purchase to a $500,000 refinance valuation in six months of our own labor.
Automation & AI systems
Self-hosted inference, agent tooling, and document pipelines built for our own operations first. If it survives running our business, it is worth talking about.

American production, or nothing.
For a generation this country sold off its ability to make things, one plant at a time, and called it efficiency. What it bought was cheaper goods and hollowed-out towns. Every dollar that leaves for an overseas factory is a job that was never created here, an order a domestic shop never got, and a paycheck a family never saw. Everything built under this name is built against that.
At Patriot Consulting we do not promote any companies with ties to any foreign governments. Israel, China, Russia — it does not matter.

What a placement does and does not buy
It buys attention
Your name, your offer, and a link, in front of people who came here on purpose. Every paid placement is labelled as advertising, in plain English, where anyone can see it. We do not run anything dressed up as editorial.
It does not buy a recommendation
Paying us never puts a company on a supplier short list, moves it up one, or changes a single word of a sourcing report. Suppliers do not pay to be listed and advertisers do not pay to be recommended. The two things do not touch, and that is the whole reason a short list from us is worth anything.
What we will not run
We turn down money for the same reasons we turn down suppliers. If that costs us an advertiser, it costs us an advertiser.
Anything that fails the standard
Production moved overseas, or ownership, financing or manufacturing tied to a foreign government. The rule we apply to suppliers applies to whoever is paying us. Read the standard.
Political and issue advocacy
No campaigns, no committees, no issue advertising. This site carries a person's name and we intend to keep it that way.
Gambling, crypto, adult, payday lending
The audience here includes young soldiers. We are not renting them out to anyone selling those four things.
How it works
- You tell us who you are and what you would run.
- We send the rate card and the current traffic figures, straight off Cloudflare, for whatever period you want to see.
- We check you against the standard above. If you do not clear it we tell you plainly and that is the end of it.
- You approve the placement and the term in writing. Nothing goes live before that.
- Either side can end it at the end of a term. We can pull a placement at any time if something changes, and you are refunded for what did not run.
